With the beauty of fall around us, it is nice to go for a drive or a hike to take in the nature around us. There are many options in Georgia and the Eastern United States. I've collected some of my favorite resources to share about things to do.
Georgia Official Tourism and Travel site includes recommendations on where to go in North Georgia to enjoy the reds, yellows and all the hues in between during October and November. One unique and not overly exerting way is to check out the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.
Georgia State Parks Leave Watch is a great resource for keeping up with the colors this fall!
For a spectacular fall drive check out the Russell-Brasstown Scenic Byway. Make sure to check your battery before going very far from home. It's very common to need a battery replaced when the weather changes.
Hiking at any of our North Georgia Mountains is a sure way to see a beautiful panoramic or up close leaves over trails and water. Red Top Mountain is always a good choice as is Tallulah Gorge State Park.
If you are interested in having someone else do the driving you may enjoy VIP Southern Wine Tours to check out some local wineries.
Some North Georgia Destinations to check out would include Helen , Hillcrest Orchards or even Jaemor Farms for family fun!
The Travel Channel recommends some road trips up the east coast and more so in the North East if you want to do some special traveling this season.
Whatever your preference whether you be driving, riding or hiking, we hope you take some time to enjoy the fall colors!
