Buford Shop Upgrades: A New Ceiling and LED Lighting

During a planned closure, Team Ryan Automotive added a sheetrock ceiling and new LED lighting to the nearly 5,000-square-foot work area at its Buford shop.

Why we made the changes

The project focused on working conditions for our technicians. Our original update described brighter lighting that made it easier to see their work, along with better climate control after the ceiling was installed.

Installing the ceiling while the shop was closed

Installing sheetrock throughout the work area was too disruptive to do while the shop was operating. We scheduled the work during a closure, when employees and customers were spending time with their families.

Building on earlier upgrades

By the time of this update, the Buford building had already received finished floors, vehicle lifts and remote-controlled bay doors. The ceiling and lighting were another step in improving the space.
