Team Ryan Automotive Is Open For Business And Taking Precautions For Your Health & Safety
March 16, 2020 | Shara Ryan

From our March 2020 archive. This article records the precautions Team Ryan Automotive announced on March 16, 2020, during the early COVID-19 pandemic. The procedures and customer requests below relate to that period.
In March 2020, Team Ryan Automotive remained open to help customers keep their vehicles dependable for essential trips, including grocery runs and medical appointments.
The precautions announced in March 2020
Our announcement outlined four extra steps for vehicles brought in for service:
- Disinfecting keys and key fobs as soon as a vehicle arrived for service.
- Wearing disposable gloves while handling and servicing customer vehicles.
- Cleaning and disinfecting the office several times a day, with attention to frequently touched items such as doorknobs, the coffee maker, payment terminal, night drop box, and charging station.
- Disinfecting the vehicle and keys again before returning them to the customer.
The announcement stated that these extra measures would be included at no additional charge while a vehicle was being serviced.
What we asked of customers at the time
For visits during that period, we asked customers to make a few changes:
- Customers were asked to drop off their vehicles rather than wait at the shop.
- Customers were asked to tell us if they or a family member were or had been ill so we could alert the team and take extra care.
- We encouraged communication by phone, text, and email.
- Visitors were asked to avoid close contact with staff, including shaking hands.
The post also expressed our hope that the disruption would soon pass and encouraged the community to use fact-based information.
