From Orchards to Open Roads

Our Local Family-Owned Fall Favorites – You’re Invited!
This October, the Ryan family is excited to share some of our favorite fall destinations within an easy driving distance of Buford and Cumming, Georgia. Like our own family-owned small business, we appreciate the attention to detail these local family farms and non-profits put into providing an enriching experience for the community. Make sure to stop us and say "Hi" if you see us this fall!
- Jaemor Farms - At
Jaemor Farms,
the Ryan family's favorite activities are picking flowers, riding big trikes, and throwing apples with the apple launchers. Here, you can also share a meal at the Eatery and take home delicious baked goods from the market. Each visit offers a simple reminder of the traditions that make fall in Georgia so memorable.
- Scottsdale Farms - At
Scottsdale Farms,
the Ryan boys enjoy feeding the chickens and selecting the perfect pumpkins. Scottsdale Farm has a fantastic selection of pumpkins this time of year. With the hayrides and face painting, this farm has become one of our favorite spots to celebrate the season.
- Buford Corn Maze
- In addition to the giant corn maze, the boys' favorite activity here is the unique, large outdoor trampoline. Buford Corn Maze also has a pumpkin patch and classic hayrides. Families can spend the day exploring the activities and enjoying Fall fun.
- Southeastern Train Museum - The
Southeastern Train Museum
(a non-profit) brings history to life with historic trains, trolleys, and rides that the Ryan Family enjoys throughout the year. On October 18th, the annual Train-or-Trunk-or-Treat adds even more fun with classic cars, costumes, candy, and festive activities for all ages. As membership holders, the Ryans highly recommend taking rides on the park train and checking out all the classic cars while collecting candy.
- B.J. Reece Orchards - A Ryan family must-do this season is
B.J. Reece Orchards.
With wagon rides, a petting farm, apple picking, and more, it’s a fall favorite. But the highlight is the bakery, where you’ll find whole pies, world-famous fried pies, cake rolls, fudge, apple fritters, apple cider doughnuts, apple bread, apple sticks, and other seasonal sweet treats. Each apple pie is made with fruit from their own orchards, making it a truly authentic taste of fall.
- Fausett Farms Sunflowers - Nestled nearby in Dawsonville, just north of Cumming,
Fausett Farms has more than 30 acres and 900,000 sunflower blooms, is a top fall destination. This hidden gem has views of North Georgia paired with fields of golden sunflowers, making it a must-see experience each fall. Don’t forget your camera, it’s a perfect location for DIY family photos.
- Blue Ridge Scenic Railway - Hop aboard the
Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
for stunning fall foliage and local railway history. The ride offers views along the Toccoa River and through the surrounding mountain forests, making it a memorable experience for the whole family. This will definitely be a trip The Ryan boys and the whole family will remember.
