It’s Time For Back to School! Is Your Vehicle Ready?

Getting Your Vehicle Carpool Ready!

Back-To-School season is here, and as much fun as summer has been, we know you might be ready for your kiddos to head back to school. At Team Ryan Automotive, we get it. As we start stocking up on mechanical pencils and composition notebooks, that also means school sports start up again and after-school tutoring sessions, and suddenly, you’re driving to and for getting your kids from place to place. Plus, there will always be those late-night trips to snag the last tri-fold poster board for a last-minute science project. It makes for a very busy schedule.

Because of that, you’re going to be depending on your vehicle a lot, and it needs to be reliable, right? Especially if your kids are spending an extended amount of time in it, you need a safe and reliable car. Well, we’re here to relieve a bit of the Back-To-School stress by ensuring your car is just as reliable as it was when you drove it off the lot. Regular maintenance is the key to keeping your car reliable, and here are a few tricks and tips for when you should take your car to be
serviced just in time for Back-To-School:

1. CAR WARNING LIGHTS

Your vehicle’s warning lights are the way it tells you something is going on. So, it’s important we pay attention to those lights. They can range from an oil change reminder, and a check tire pressure, to a check engine warning light. Sometimes, these symbols are difficult to decipher, and if you don’t feel like flipping through your driver’s manual or spending an extended amount of time on Google trying to figure it out, we’re here to help! Just keep in mind, don’t ignore your vehicle’s way of asking for some TLC!

2. FRONT AND/OR BACK BRAKE NOISES AND GRINDING

Just like the way our cars talk through warning signals, they can also communicate through noises. Basically, your car is multilingual in a very special way. Here’s how you know what those noises mean. When your car squeaks or squeals, it’s trying to tell you it’s time for a brake inspection. Squeaking, squealing, or even grinding could mean it’s time for new front or rear brake pads and rotors, or it could just be brake fluids. We know that brake problems can be tricky (and dangerous), but we’re here to ensure your car is in perfect condition for when it’s time to take those kiddos to school!

3. CAR SUSPENSION PROBLEMS

If you notice your vehicle’s steering wheel shakes while you drive, it could be a suspension issue or a tire issue. Either way, you want to get that checked out, and we just so happen to be pros when it comes to shaking steering wheels. We’d be happy to help you check one more thing off your Back-To-School list!

Just like your kids need to get ready for Back-To-School, so does your car! We’d be happy to make this hectic time a little bit less, well, hectic.
