What's Not Covered by the Lifetime Warranty

The Lifetime Warranty is on defective parts and labor and does not apply to: Used Parts, Client Supplied Parts, After Market Accessories, Tires, Batteries, Serpentine/Drive/Timing Belts, Flushes, Wiper Blades, Electronic Modules, Light Bulbs, Brake Pads/Shoes, Brake Rotors/Drums, Engines, Transmissions, Transfer Cases, Differentials, Solid Drive Axles, RVs, Trailers, Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicles, or Fleet/Commercial Vehicles.

Maintenance Requirements

The corresponding fluid exchange services and recommended maintenance services must be performed with the repairs to hold the TRA Lifetime Warranty. Oil changes are required every 3,000 miles for synthetic blend and 5,000 miles for full synthetic. Service records are maintained at Team Ryan Automotive; if maintenance is done elsewhere, receipts must be provided. Carfax records are not acceptable.

Limitations & Exclusions

  • The Lifetime Warranty is not transferable and can be honored at any Team Ryan Automotive location.
  • Team Ryan Automotive will not pay another facility to perform warranty repairs.
  • Warranty may be voided by evidence of abuse, modification, neglect, or intentional damage.
  • Tires: covered by road hazard protection if purchased at time of installation.
  • Batteries: covered for 2 years / 24,000 miles.
  • Electronic modules: covered for 12 months / 12,000 miles.
  • Brake pads/rotors and brake shoes/drums: covered for 12 months / 12,000 miles.
  • Shocks and struts: covered for 12 months / 12,000 miles.
  • Aftermarket engine/transmission mounts and CV axles: covered 12 months / 12,000 miles (OEM carries Lifetime).
  • Aftermarket catalytic converters: covered 12 months / 12,000 miles (OEM: 8 years / 80,000 miles).
  • Engine seals and gaskets: Lifetime coverage only if oil changes performed every 5,000 miles.
  • Large components (engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axle/differential assemblies): excluded from Lifetime; warranty documented on repair order or defaults to 12 months / 12,000 miles.
  • All salvage, used, or customer-supplied parts: no TRA warranty.
  • No coverage for towing, rental, lost wages, or incidental expenses.
  • Maximum warranty coverage cannot exceed the total parts and labor cost of the original repair.

Medium / Heavy Duty & Commercial Vehicles

Vehicles that are commercially used or considered heavy-duty by TRA are not eligible for Lifetime warranty coverage. These vehicles are covered under a 3-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty, subject to all restrictions listed above.
